FiveAgent: an open-source personal assistant on WhatsApp

Hello everyone,

We'd like to share FiveAgent, an open-source personal assistant you can talk to on WhatsApp. Send it a message like any other chat, and it can answer questions, help draft text and do calculations with the model you configure.

It uses the official WhatsApp Cloud API. You can choose an OpenAI-compatible provider such as DeepSeek or OpenAI, or run a local model through Ollama, and change it in fiveagent.yml.

The project is free and open source under the MIT license. It's still early-stage and not ready for production; the repository explains what works today and what's planned. If you'd like to try it, we'd welcome your feedback and suggestions:

Dear friends,

FiveAgent can also use a local model. In this screenshot, it responds over WhatsApp using Ollama on the host machine (localhost:11434) rather than calling a cloud model provider. WhatsApp messages still go through Meta's official API.
