Disable print screen key

Post by Roger Seiler »

Is there a way to disable the Print Screen key from within FWH?

This question was asked before by someone else a while ago with no response. But for data security reasons, this can be important. Even if you encrypt your data on disk, a vulnerability is that a user could view the unencrypted data on screen, press Print Screen, and takeaway an unencrypted copy of some info and give it to some unauthorized person.

Any advice?

More than just PrtScn key is any number of programs that can capture all or part of screen.
One comes with windows and is called Snipping Tools. You can find it under Start/All Programs/Accessories.

This is a bet.

Maybe the anauthorized user can't use the "print Screen" key... but I asure you he/she will record everything on his/her cell phone... which by the way, he know how to use... no many users use or even know they can print the screen, as in old DOS days... and maybe the printer is a network one, or on the other office.

You're right, Adolfo - with a cellphone, anyone can be a spy!
