Dear Mr.Antonio,

I am getting the following error while linking my application :

Code: Select all | Expand

Embarcadero C++ 7.70 for Win32 Copyright (c) 1993-2023 Embarcadero Technologies, Inc.
Error: Unresolved external '_HB_FUN_HB_VALTOEXP' referenced from D:\NEWPROJECT\FWH_2603\LIB\FIVEHX.LIB|xbrowse
Error: Unresolved external '_HB_FUN_HB_HHASKEY' referenced from D:\NEWPROJECT\FWH_2603\LIB\FIVEHX.LIB|window
Error: Unable to perform link
* Linking errors *

I am using FWH_2603 + BCC77 + xHarbour 1.3.2 Intl. (Simplex) (Build 20260504)

Please give me a solution to avoid these errors.

Can you provide a minimal PRG sample showing the error, please?

Dear Ramesh,

Temporary workaround:

Code: Select all | Expand

#ifdef __XHARBOUR__
  function hb_HHasKey( hHash, xKey )
  return HHasKey( hHash, xKey )

  function hb_ValToExp( uVal )
  return ValToPrgExp( uVal )
  #endif

I don't get any errors using neither TWindow nor TXBrowse.

Please look here (hbcompat.ch):

Code: Select all | Expand

#xtranslate hb_HHasKey( [<x,...>] )         => HHasKey( <x> )
#xtranslate hb_ValToExp( [<x,...>] )        => ValToPrgExp( <x> )

And in fivewin.ch:

Code: Select all | Expand

#include "hbcompat.ch"

So you shouldn't get any of those two errors.

Try to add these at top of your code:

Code: Select all | Expand

#xtranslate hb_HHasKey( [<x,...>] )         => HHasKey( <x> )
#xtranslate hb_ValToExp( [<x,...>] )        => ValToPrgExp( <x> )

Try this sample:

Code: Select all | Expand

#include "Fivewin.ch"

FUNCTION MAIN()

HB_HHASKEY()
HB_VALTOEXP()

RETURN NIL

Do you get unresolved externals? If yes, try this other:

Code: Select all | Expand

#xtranslate hb_HHasKey( [<x,...>] )         => HHasKey( <x> )
#xtranslate hb_ValToExp( [<x,...>] )        => ValToPrgExp( <x> )

#include "Fivewin.ch"

FUNCTION MAIN()

HB_HHASKEY()
HB_VALTOEXP()

RETURN NIL

Querida Aida,

Añade este código a tu app:

Code: Select all | Expand

#ifdef __XHARBOUR__
  function hb_HHasKey( hHash, xKey )
  return HHasKey( hHash, xKey )

  function hb_ValToExp( uVal )
  return ValToPrgExp( uVal )
  #endif

Recuerda que las declaraciones STATIC o LOCAL deben ir siempre al inicio de la función, antes de cualquier instrucción ejecutable.

Declara tus variables para evitar "referencias ambiguas" y no olvides cerrar siempre tus funciones con RETURN ...
