Good morning all.
Once again: it's been a long while!!!
Is there any way of installing FWH January 2007 on Windows 7 Pro 64bit???
When attempting to do the above I receive the following error:
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running...".
Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the installer file here that is the problem and not FWH January 2007 itself???
I need to change one line in an application that I wrote some time ago and don't really want to upgrade FWH to the current version if I don't have to (not with the current USD/ZAR or EUR/ZAR exchange rate anyway).
XHarbour Builder Professional installs with no issues (although I'm not sure if it works as yet as I cannot install FWH January 2007 as noted above).
Regards,
Dale.

Re: Installing FWH January 2007 on Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Dale,
You get that error as such installer is 16 bits and the Windows you are using is 64 bits.
Please install it on a Windows 32 bits and then copy the files manually.
If you don't have a Windows 32 bits at hand please let me know it and we will help you.

Hi Antonio.
Thank you (as always) for the prompt response.
Hmmmnnn...
I've tried that (installed xHB but copied FWH from a backup of a FWH folder that I happened to have) but no luck. When I try to compile I receive an error within xHarbour Builder that reads "Error: Couldn't build". I seem to remember having this very same issue about two years ago when trying to set up my development software (same versions i.e. 2007) on another Windows 7 workstation (this was a 32bit workstation) and it was never resolved so I gave up at the time.
Here's the log file that's created:
Yep. I was right. Here's a link to my original (and same) problem some long time ago:
