Mr Antonio

While I am awaiting my updgrade to FWH 8.01, I seek a few clarifications. Hope you are providing the latest xHarbour build. Are the problems about RDD incompatibility solved in this new version now ? For example the issue of GPFs in the ADORDD. Same was my experience with ADSRDD

NageswaraRao,

We have decided not to provide upgrade builds of Harbour/xHarbour until we know for sure that the GPF problem is fixed and working stable again

We will deliver them as soon as we have a stable version, as we can not put in risk the stability of our users applications

Mr Antonio

1) Is the xHarbour provided with 8.01 the same as the version provided with 7.12 ? Or is it latest ?

2) I would like to tell you that the rdd_ads.lib you provided with xharbour 7.12 worked without GPF. But my problem is, due to changes I made in the source, I had to rebuild the ads libraries with my own changes. Because I could not find the exact sources matching your build, I was getting GPFs. I still believe we can solve the problem. There may be other users who are using rdd_ads from the CVS. If they are able to work, we should also be able to work with RDD with latest version of CVS. Can any friends help please?

Mr Norberto

When I tested, the xharbour with rdd_ads.lib provided along with FWH 7.12 worked well. Both local and remote. Without GPF. Please try and let us know if you have problems.

Mr Norberto

I want to try from CVS. Till now I have been using only binaries from xharbour.org or provided with FWH. Can you please give me step by step directions to use CVS of xharbour please?
