Shridhar,
The best would be a Windows 8 tablet (Surface) with x86 support (not ARM).

Shridar,
You could run the app on a Windows server and use it from any tablet using VNC

Shridhar,
There are several choices:
1. Native apps (Android, iOS, Win8)
2. Web apps (on a compatible internet browser)
3. Remote apps on VNC

Hi Antonio,
Android systems are every day more popular and low cost.
Any news regarding development of FiveDroid project?

George

George, hmPaquito
FiveDroid was mainly developed to check if it was possible to interface the java GUI code with Harbour.
It was possible and in fact we could extend it to provide enough functionality.
We simply have delayed it until there is enough interest about it. We too agree that Android is becoming more and more important.

What's a Tablet PC?
Tablet PCs are compact, ultra-portable entertainment devices that let you read email, surf the internet, read eBooks, view photos, play games, listen to music and watch video files. Most tablets are based on a smaller operating system, which allows you to purchase and download additional applications from supported stores. Tablet PCs do not have a CD/DVD drive and will not run Microsoft Windows or its applications. Tablet PCs function as a secondary device for casual entertainment purposes, and are not meant to replace a computer. They are ideal for use around the home and on the go with Wi-Fi or 3-4g mobile broadband connections (pay as you go, contract may be required for service).
Check out our entire selection of tablets. Shop tablet PCs by screen size, price and brand on Walmart.com.
Note: M975 has built-in Mic and Skype works fine on this tablet. Skype is not pre-installed but customer can download it for free from pre-installed Google Play.

I would urge a caution. Many Droid devices "now" are being sold at a price below cost. This will not last very long.
ARM devices are essentially designed to run apps that exist on the web. The amount of local storage capacity is very limited.
Antonio was correct. The Surface Pro ( or compatible devices ) are your best options for a BUSINESS solution. I am using a Samsung Slate with Win 8 installed. These are full computers.
You might look at apps that are developed for iOS and Android ( plus WIn 8 RT ). They have limited capabilities. Those that interact with a business size database do so through a cloud interface.
The other issue is image of your business ! Android has lots of very poor quality software available. I don't work in that marketplace. I work with people who want a serious business solution.

Re: FiveWIN xHarbour Dev enviornment in Tablet
I think it depends greatly on the type of client that you want to achieve or sell your services, 95% of the fortune 500 list uses active directory (Windows server), much of the fortune 100 uses tablets or phones of Apple, some studies suggest adopting solutions with tablets windows 8 (RT or PRO).
Android does have some tablets, phones at low cost, funded by Google, which sells at cost to win in advertising, but according to studies, those who purchase this type of product, this is not interested in buying apps.
These inexpensive devices will never receive the latest version of Android, meaning buyers without getting updates with security flaws or will have to use modified firmware (root), in both cases not think it's good business for a company to use for businesses.
just my 2c.

.Fivedroid developers will have a BIG business opportunity
I have bought this device. Here they call it Q3 and in the extension "surf".
But on an Android all is a bit different to operate. Coming from WINDOWS you have to learn to operate the system.
What sense does this make.
George,
on which type of software do you think?
Best regards,
Otto
