Hi all,
Members of the comp.lang.clipper newsgroup have discovered that one of
the pillars of the Clipper/Harbour community passed away a little over a
year ago, on April 16, 2015. You can read about him here:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cg ... =145271194
Phil was one of the most important persons when the Harbour project was
originally started. The crew page at http://harbour.github.io/crew.html
lists him as "Harbour Manager" and "Keeper of Pieces and Parts".
Phil was also the keeper of the Oasis, the source code archive most of
us have visited many times over the last couple of decades.
The domain name the-oasis.net as well as harbour-project.org belonged to
Phil. Both have been auto-renewed this year, but the server is now off
line - which answers the question "Where did www.harbour-project.org go?"
A copy of The Oasis is however still available at the Wayback Machine:
http://web.archive.org/web/201603032038 ... oasis.net/
Thank you, Phil, for everything you have done for the Clipper/Harbour
community for such a long time.
