Unresolved external _hb_stack
Unresolved external _hb_stack
Estimado Antonio,
He bajado la ultima actualización de xharbour y no puedo compilar los programas porque sale está leyenda
Turbo Incremental Link 5.00 Copyright (c) 1997, 2000 Borland
Error: Unresolved external '_hb_stack' referenced from C:\FWX\LIB\FIVEHC.LIB|FFW
NDRUN
Tiene alguna solución ?
Yo uso FWH y creo que es la primera versión ( Digamos la 1.95 )
Saludos

Antonio,
Can you tell to all your users of FWH (before october 2005)
how they can continue to work with the new HB_STACK
link error ?
We need the list of functions of FIVEHC.LIB we can not use now,
to continue to work.
Today, the FWH 2.5 users :
- not "could upgrade to FWH 2.6"
- but "must absolutely upgrade to the most recent build of FWH 2.6"
There is not a possibility, but the ONLY way.
Isn't it ?
Regards,

Is it our fault if xHarbour has been modified the way it has been ?
Is it the fault of your Fivewin for [x]Harbour users,
who have pay, not for [x]Harbour, but for FWH,
and have today a "version for test only" ?
Do you think they buy FWH if they know that before pay ?

Badara,
Do you think that we can see the future and know in advance that there will be a version that will break backwards compatibility ?
Besides that, nobody is pushing you to use the xharbour cvs code. You can use the "official" xharbour build and build and deliver professional applications. That does not look as a "test" mode as you say.

Antonio,
I have found this runtime error in the previous xharbour build
that you published :
" " = "" is true for Clipper
" " = "" is false for xHarbour
when SET EXACT ON.
This is a very important incompatibility between Clipper code
and xHarbour code. You can tell me "it's easy to replace
with the function Empty()", but how do you do in macros ?
If my users create macros for databases, how can i change
this in their PCs ?

Badara,
You may ask at news://news.xharbour.org that someone may provide you the most recent xharbour build, previous to the hb_stack change. That may be the solution for you, and some other users. Thanks.
Please let me know if you get it. In case you don't, we may build it here for you.
By the way, would you mind to include a personal photo of you for the "avatar" field of your personal setting on these forums ? Thanks.
