How to include icons & bitmaps in EXE.

Post by HunterEC »

Hi guys:

I'm new to the Workshop (Borland). :oops: Can anyone tell me the steps on how to define icons & bitmaps to include them in my EXE?

Thank you.

Following the steps I wrote in my last post you can select ICO or BMP files to add to your project.

Enrico:

I already have the icon & bitmaps as ico & bmp files. They were not created with the workshop. How can I import them into the workshop ? Is there any available tutorial(s) on using the workshop ?

Did you try File -> Add to project -> File type ICO or BMP?

How to show a icon from disk as a exe-symbol

Post by ukoenig »

Hello

To load and show a icon from disk as a exe-symbol
you have at first to save you resource as a RC-file.
Next open it with a editor and go to the end.
There you have to add the desired ICON from disk.

RESOURCE :

#ifdef __FLAT__
1 24 "WindowsXP.Manifest"
#endif

.....
.....

1 ICON "favorite.ico"

Favorite.ico showse a star as exe-symbol
The RC-file must be included to the RMK-file

SAMPLE :

#Borland make sample, (c) FiveTech Software 2005

HBDIR=d:\xharbour
BCDIR=d:\bcc55
FWDIR=d:\fwh

.path.OBJ = .\obj
.path.PRG = .\
