Error while Linking BuildH.Bat

Post by anserkk »

Hi all,
I am very much new to FWH.

I am just trying to compile the sample program Tutor01.Prg with BuildH.Bat from the Folder C:\FWH\Samples

When I run the BuildH.Bat, I am getting an error 'Fatal : Unable to open c0w32.obj'

I have Borland BCC in my C:\Borland\bcc5 and I have specified the same correctly in the BuildH.bat

When I read the BuildH.bat I found that the batch file is expecting the file c0w32.obj in the current folder ie C:\FWH\Samples, so I copied the file c0w32.obj from my C:\Borland\bcc5\lib folder to C:\FWH\Samples folder.

After that c0w32.obj problem is over but now it says another error
"Fatal : Unable to open the file UUID.LIB"

So I searched for the lib file uuid.lib and copied the file from C:\Borland\bcc55 and copied to the folder C:\FWH\Samples.

After that I am able to compile other Samples For eg:tutor02.prg etc

Can anybody explain that whether anything wrong in what I have done. Is it like this it is expected to work

I have just installed FWH Ver 8.05 and have not modified anything except the set bcdir=c:\Borland\bcc55 statement in the BuildH.Bat file

I am herewith pasting the BuildH.Bat content

Regards

Anser

Create these two files with an editor and put them into the c:\bcc55\bin directory. You may have to change the paths according to your setup.

bcc32.cfg
-I"c:\bcc55\include;c:\fwh\include;c:\xharbour\include"
-L"c:\bcc55\lib"

ilink32.cfg
-L"c:\bcc55\lib"

Anser,

> I have Borland BCC in my C:\Borland\bcc5

Then do as James has explained you (it is also explained in www.fivetechsoft.com FWH website), but use c:\borland\bcc55 instead of c:\bcc55
regards, saludos
