Mr Silvio

FWH supports Touch API. This is one of the topics in Sillian. But for normal applications you do not need to know anything about using Touch API.

If the user taps on the screen, Windows automatically translates it as Left-Mouse-Click. A tap by finger is exactly the same as mouse-click.

So normal application you make for mouse automatically works on touch screen.

Silvio,

I have a laptop with a touchscreen running Win 10, and all my FW apps run fine using touch.

The main issue you will have is that you will probably have to redesign your interface to use larger controls so they are easier to touch with your finger.

If you observed, when using touch, controls like listbox, combobox display with larger gaps between lines to make it convenient for fingers.

If you open combobox with usual mouse-click the line height is normal. If you open it with finger tap, the line height is larger enough for finger. FWH reacts suitably to touch.

Nages,
If you open combobox with usual mouse-click the line height is normal. If you open it with finger tap, the line height is larger enough for finger.
Hmm, how does it know whether you are clicking or touching?

I tried it with FWH 16.02 but I don't see any difference. Was this implemented later, or is there a flag you have to set so it knows you are using touch?

FWH detects if the control is activated by Tap of finger or MouseClick and adjusts the individual element height accordingly.

Introduced touch support in Nov 2015 and kept improving it over a period.

Take any of your program, run it on a tablet ( windows 10 ). Try activating combobox by tap or mouse-click. You can see the difference.
