We run applications that sometimes take 2-3 hours to complete from start to finish.
Many of our clients run our apps over Microsoft Terminal Server/Remote Desktop connections. It appears that, when the session screen saver is activated, our apps "hang" or "go to standby" and all processing is halted.
If we change the screen saver parms to 999 minutes, the session does not go to "sleep" and our Fivewin/Harbour/Borland application runs to completion.
Does anyone know of a way to instruct an application to continue running, even if the session's screen saver becomes active?

Don,
This isn't the solution you are looking for, but it is a workaround until you find it.
This free program runs in the system tray and disables the screensaver when certain windows are open. It detects these windows by the window title. When the window closes the screensaver is automaticaly reactivated.
