Ejecucion en Vista

Un portatil con Vista me indica este error:

This version of c:\xxxxx\xxx is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

He probado a ponerlo en compatibilidad con windows xp,me y 98, pero nada.

Supongo que sera porque el procesador es a 64 bits,porque creo que en principio en el vista si funcionan aplicaciones 16 bits.

Si lo formateara y le pusiera xp si funcionaria por que este es a 32 bits.
¿Verdad?. A alguien le ha pasado.

Si se trata de Vista 64 bits entonces las aplicaciones de 16 bits no funcionan en él. En cambio si funcionan las de 32 bits y las de 64 bits.

Si instalas Vista 32 bits entonces si podrás usar aplicaciones de 16 bits, aunque no funcionarán tan bien como si usas aplicaciones de 32 bits (FWH y Harbour/xHarbour)
