fivewin app not responding in XP

Post by tnhoe »

Hi,

My fivewin app always 'not responding' in XP when click on it desktop icon.
But it does not have problem in Win98.
Apparently 16-bit app not supported well in XP.
I use dbf/cdx, externall dll, modification in tsbrowse, infoz.dll, etc.
I need time to change whole app into 32-bit but customer can not wait.

Any quick work around for it ? or tuning setting in .lnk script ?

Dear Maurizio

I'm ever gotten the promble same you. Try to copy command prompt of XP icon and paste somewhere in your desktop. After that write COMMAND in target of properties that icon and then ok. After done, you should to go to properties that icon again for new change Cmd Line and Working in program tab to your app.

Best Regrad,

Pe N Chi

PS: For give me if that not work

In XP desktop shortcut properties, on Shortcut tab, click on Advanced button and then select "run in separate memory area."
