Antonio,

Did you change the checked items to look like your last screenshot, or do they only look like that under Vista?

Antonio,

The checked items look great!

I note that the disabled items are still not displaying correctly.

Antonio,

There are some slight repainting problems when using a 2007 menu and buttonbar. When you move the cursor over the menu item it repaints the white line between the buttonbar and menu into blue. When I enlarged the screenshot I found another artifact--not too important but you can see it.

Peculiarly, if a menu item is diabled with a when clause ( eg menuitem 'xyz' when .f.) it is painted correctly as disabled. but if we say meniteitem 'xyz' disabled only this incorrect painting occurs

>Can the new menu style be optional?

I second that opinion.

Also, it might be nice if we could specify the colors, for either the 2007 style or the old style menus.

Atleast for me, this option is not only desirable but necessary also. In some cases the same program has to run on 256 colors also.

I have made the 2007 style for button bars and message bars conditional on ColorsQty(). Wish such an option is available for menus also.

We may try the tests for compatibility with 256 colors.

In 256 colors situation, the items in the top bar are getting erased when we move the mouse over the items. When we move the mouse over the erased items they are again coming back. Anyway we can expect the color of the menus not to look good at all on 256 colors.
