Tcalex incluida en FWH

Post by lucasdebeltran »

Hola:

Sería estupendo tener a TCalex integrada en FWH, una vez depurados algunos pequeños bugs que tiene a la hora de pasar las fechas con el slider.

O una cosa más simple como ésta:

Muchas gracias.
Muchas gracias. Many thanks.

Un saludo, Best regards,

Harbour 3.2.0dev, Borland C++ 5.82 y FWH 13.06 [producción]

Implementando MSVC 2010, FWH64 y ADO.

Abandonando uso xHarbour y SQLRDD.

I have looked at Daniels good work and it does take a considerable understanding of his class to make modifications especially to which Data engine you use.

I have looked at CodeJock and they have a wonderful product as well, however, you have to install their .ocx .. if CodeJock had a .dll for their FWH code .. I would re-consider their product.

I know from working in State Government .. when you have many workstations, the less you have to do to them in the setup .. the more successful and reliable your code will be. I know in my old job, we had the workstations 'locked down' and it was next to impossible for a standard user to have the correct privileges to register an .ocx or .dll.

If a Calex class could be incorporated into FW with a flexible interface for ADO as well as .dbf I would be most grateful and or consider paying extra for the addition.

Rick,

I totally agree with you, even in the extra fee.

I hate to use 3rd party products, such as Codejock, as always they cause trouble to the users with the .ocx registration, and also with the updates of Harbour and FWh. The same applies to Fast Report, as Sergey passed away and the product has some bugs not resolved.

Having all source code is the safest way and more solid to build an application.

Best regards

Lucas and Rick

I use Codejock since over 2 years and it is an amazing product.

I have a lot of customers using it.

Daniel's inspiration was from codejock for tcalex but it will take a huge time to have the same product and time is money .....

Ocx is not the only choice , they have a runtime dll also now , but i still use the ocx.

I have set a small utility to register the ocx if it could not be done by the software , the administrator will do it in seconds (utility is provided by codejock).

My 2 cents

Richard

you can use any data source... the class is only is the "view", the data should be handled by user (programmer)
our best documentation is the source code

Lo tengo anotado para probarlo y ver si podemos incluirla en FWH de forma estandard :-)

e ir incorporando las sugerencias y cambios que vayan comentándose.
